"Organic" defines foods produced by methods without synthetic inputs such as pesticides, chemical fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, radiation, industrial solvents or chemical additives for food. Organic production in the USA UU is administered in accordance with the Organic Foods Production Act (OFPA) of 1990. For labels, federal legislation defines three levels of organic foods with more than one ingredient, 100%, 95% and 70% . Various standards apply to the use of organic product stamps from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and certification agencies.
